BIOGRAFÍA ALBERTO TRIJUEQUE PEGALAJAR, DIRECTOR DE ESCENA, 2025
Alberto Trijueque Pegalajar es un director de escena especializado en ópera y zarzuela. En cada representación busca crear un espacio donde el espectador no solo observe, sino que cuestione y reflexione. Cree en el poder transformador del arte y en el escenario como un lugar para abrir nuevos diálogos y generar pensamiento crítico. Cada proyecto es una oportunidad para resignificar la tradición y acercarla al público actual.
En 2025 estrenará Hildegart de Juan Durán en el Festival LittleÓpera de Zamora bajo la batuta de Lucía Marín y pondrá en pie Sónar en el Real Teatro de Retiro, una ópera contemporánea con música de Ángel de la Hera y dramaturgia de Pedro Víllora inspirada en la vida de Manuel de Falla. Al mismo tiempo colabora con la coreógrafa Marta Nogal y el Trío Albéniz en una creación flamenca dedicada a La Argentinita, que entrelaza partituras de Falla, Albéniz y Granados para rendir homenaje a una figura clave de nuestra historia escénica.
En 2024 la Academia de las Artes Escénicas de España le seleccionó para el Proyecto ROAD bajo la mentoría de Miguel del Arco. En 2023 fue seleccionado en el programa Crescendo de la Fundación Amigos del Teatro Real y debutó en la programación oficial del Teatro Real con Amahl y los visitantes nocturnos de Menotti. Anteriormente obtuvo el premio al Mejor Espectáculo en el festival juvenil ISTF Danail Chirpansky de Bulgaria por The Indian Queen de Purcell y disfrutó de la Beca de Cultura y Arte de la embajada de Indonesia, viajando a Sulawesi para dirigir un montaje sobre los rituales funerarios toraja.
Ha trabajado en producciones como Je Suis Narcissiste, en el Teatro Real (dirección de escena: Marta Pazos, 2019), y María Moliner, en el Teatro de la Zarzuela (dirección de escena: Paco Azorín, 2016). Formado en Dirección Escénica y Dramaturgia en la RESAD de Madrid, completó un máster en Creación Teatral Colaborativa en el Rose Bruford College de Londres y perfeccionó sus métodos en la Scuola Cònia con la Societas Raffaello Sanzio en Italia. Desde 2022 colabora con la Comisión Europea en proyectos culturales en países como Alemania, Hungría, Suecia, Suiza, Marruecos, Rumanía y España, impulsando la ópera y la zarzuela como herramientas de intercambio cultural y entendimiento mutuo.

Alberto Trijueque Pegalajar is a stage director specializing in opera and zarzuela. In every production he seeks to create a space where the viewer not only watches but also questions and reflects. He believes in the transformative power of art and in the stage as a place to open new dialogues and spark critical thinking. Every project is an opportunity to re-signify tradition and bring it closer to today’s audience.
In 2025 he will premiere Hildegart by Juan Durán at the LittleÓpera Festival in Zamora under the baton of Lucía Marín, and will mount Sónar at the Royal Teatro de Retiro, a contemporary opera with music by Ángel de la Hera and dramaturgy by Pedro Víllora inspired by the life of Manuel de Falla. At the same time, he is collaborating with choreographer Marta Nogal and the Albéniz Trio on a flamenco creation dedicated to La Argentinita, weaving together scores by Falla, Albéniz and Granados to pay homage to a key figure in our scenic history.
In 2024 the Spanish Academy of Performing Arts selected him for the ROAD Project under the mentorship of Miguel del Arco. In 2023 he was chosen for the Crescendo program of the Friends of the Teatro Real Foundation and made his official Teatro Real debut with Amahl and the Night Visitors by Menotti. Previously, he won the Best Production Award at the ISTF Danail Chirpansky Youth Festival in Bulgaria for Purcell’s The Indian Queen and received the Culture and Arts Scholarship from the Indonesian Embassy, traveling to Sulawesi to direct a production based on Toraja funeral rituals.
He has worked on landmark productions such as Je Suis Narcissiste at the Teatro Real (staging director Marta Pazos, 2019) and María Moliner at the Teatro de la Zarzuela (staging director Paco Azorín, 2016). Trijueque trained in Stage Directing and Dramaturgy at RESAD in Madrid, earned a Master’s in Collaborative Theatrical Creation at Rose Bruford College in London, and refined his methods at Scuola Cònia with Societas Raffaello Sanzio in Italy. Since 2022 he has collaborated with the European Commission on cultural projects in Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, Morocco, Romania and Spain, promoting opera and zarzuela as tools for cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
