Valencian Tenor, Vicent Romero, began his musical career as a violinist. He studied at the Centre de Perfeccionament Plácido Domingo at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia where he recently performed alongside Maestro Placido Domingo. At the Palau de les Arts he has sung the role of Bastien in „Bastiene und Bastienne“, Erster Priester and Erster Geharnischter in „Die Zauberflöte“ and Norberto in Manuel Penella´s “ La Malquerida“.
Highlights from Mr. Romero’s have been: Pinkerton in“ Madama Butterfly“ at the Auditorio de Zaragoza, the Duca in“ Rigoletto“, Iskra in „Mazeppa“ at the Teatro Campoamor, Rodolfo in“ La Bohème“ at the Moldova National Opera, the Spanish premiere of Jorge Sastre´s „Patrick“ in the XXIII Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica and the tenor soloist in Mozart´s Requiem with the Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia. Also, Tenor soloist in Beethoven´s Ninth symphony in Ibiza´s Music Festival and the role of Pinkerton in „Madama Butterfly“ at the Gut Immling Festival in Germany.
Honors and awards include: 1. Prize Zarzuela in September 2019 Opera/Zarzuela international Competition Alicante, the third prize in the Concurso Internacional de Canto Ópera de Tenerife, he won study grant to participate in the Accademia di Belcanto Rodolfo Celletti of Martina Franca and finalist in the Alfredo Kraus contest in 2019.
